Khan Manas 

A monument to the folk hero Manas, who is a symbol of unity and revival of the Kyrgyz people, their freedom and resilience, is depicted on the front side of the banknote with denomination of 2,000 Som.  

Khan Manas is the commander of his people, a father, a wise man, the head of state responsible for the political status of the country. Manas was a wise, good-natured, genius Kyrgyz descendant who united all the disparate tribes of the Kyrgyz people, he defended the freedom of the motherland from enemies who came from outside, he defended the unity of the people.  

The legendary epos of the Kyrgyz people “Manas” is a monumental work glorifying courage, military honor and love for the Motherland.
